Temporary Holds on Credit/Debit Cards

Please note that when using a debit/credit card in a vending machine, that a temporary hold may be placed on your account by your bank. This is often done for non-attended charges, when using a card that is not presented to a sales clerk. The charge typically ranges from $1-$5 and is removed in 3-5 business days.

Vending Provides Funding for Special Programs

Vending machines in administrative area vending machines on campus help fund the Staff/Faculty Textbook Loan Program. This program allows eligible ECU staff/faculty and eligible dependents to borrow textbooks required for certain courses taken at ECU. Specific criteria and restrictions apply. Proceeds from machines in other areas of campus fund other student programs.
