SNACK and DRINK VENDING
Snack vending at ECU is contracted through Canteen, Inc. Drink vending machines on campus are managed by Minges Bottling Group, Pepsi-cola bottlers.
Campus vending machines are continuously being updated to accept credit/debit cards. 1 Card Bounty Bucks can be used in a limited number of snack machines.
If you encounter a problem with a snack vending machine, please call 1-800-324-7733 or email Connect@Canteen.com. You will need to provide the location of the machine and details of the issue. Canteen can provide refund information.
If you encounter a problem with a drink vending machine, please call the phone number located on the front of the machine, and note the machine number to report the issue.
For continuous problems with a vending machine, please call 252-328-6434 so that the issue can be resolved with the vendor. Please take note of the specific location of the machine and be able to provide as much detail as possible about the problem.
- Weekends or after regular hours, please leave a message with your name, daytime phone number and the nature of the problem.
- In cases of severe vandalism or someone breaking into a machine, please call the ECU Police immediately at 252-328-6787.
Temporary Holds on Credit/Debit Cards
Please note that when using a debit/credit card in a vending machine, that a temporary hold may be placed on your account by your bank. This is often done for non-attended charges, when using a card that is not presented to a sales clerk. The charge typically ranges from $1-$5 and is removed in 3-5 business days.
Soft Drink Exclusivity
As of January 2021, Minges Bottling Group – Pepsi-Cola is the exclusive beverage provider.. Specific rules apply regarding the sale and distribution of free beverages, including bottled water, soda/soft drinks and juice at ECU, requiring the use of exclusive beverage provider brands, including for sale and free distribution.
